ABSTRACT
Nowadays much attention has been given to hybrid organic–inorganic materials crystals because of their large hyperpolarizabilities and high laser damage resistance compared to inorganic materials. These hybrid materials owing their interesting chemical and physical properties and innovative applications. In this context and devices with innovative properties, we have synthesized a new single crystals of melaminium bisperchlorate monohydrate, its structure was affined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and characterised by UV-Vis, FT-IR spectroscopy. The UV absorption edge is found to be 245 nm with a wide optical transmittance window covering the visible region, while, the vibrational spectroscopic FT-IR analysis of this hybrid material is in the good agreement with the resolved structure obtained by the X-ray diffraction. In addition, its thermal decomposition behaviour has been investigated by means TGA/DTG techniques and illustrates a good thermal stability which makes them suitable for thermal applications.
